School Officials Entitled To Qualified Immunity In Parents' Action Arising Out Of Teacher's Alleged Molestation Of Their Daughters

A school principal and assistant principal enjoyed qualified immunity from liability in a parents' action under §1983 arising out of a teacher's alleged molestation of their daughters. There was no showing that either the principal or assistant principal had notice that the teacher was a threat to students through a history of obvious, flagrant, and widespread abuse of students by the teacher, knew the teacher would abuse students and failed to stop him, or instituted an improper custom or policy that resulted in the deliberate indifference to students' constitutional rights.
